About Red Energy
With its Australia-based customer support team and options, Red Energy is known for its customer service reputation and its plans exclusive to electric vehicle owners.
Red Energy partners with Qantas, so customers will pocket 10,000 Frequent Flyer points for signing up to electricity plans and 5,000 for signing up to gas plans. You can even gain extra points for paying your bills on time.

Red Energy offers residential gas and electricity products with no exit fees, great rates and no contract terms. It is 100% carbon neutral and Climate Active certified, so environmentally-conscious customers should take note.
There are no available plans in WA, TAS or NT.

Billing information
Red Energy offers customers the choice of how to make a payment. At present, you can pay:
- Online
- Via phone
- BPAY options
- Centrepay
- Via cheque
- In person at the Post Office
Red Energy also offers EvenPay, a payment plan option to spread the cost of energy bills using the Direct Debit facility.
Customers who need to split bills can also use the HelpPay facility, turning bills into a virtual link to be shared among family members or housemates.
On all Red Energy plans, customers can choose to have their bills sent via Post or email.

Red Energy makes a commitment to support renewable energy in Australia. It pledges to match electricity usage units and a unit of renewable energy is added to the grid on the customer's behalf.
Is the EvenPay option worth it?
If customers want to have the convenience and predictability of evenly spreading the cost of their plans, EvenPay is the best option for that. This way, you pay based on an estimate for the year and don't have to worry about fluctuating bills.
Is the rewards program still active?
No, the Red Energy Rewards Program ceased in July 2022 for new customers. Existing customers, however, still benefit from it.
